Crassulaceae of the Canary Islands

The collection contains the genera Aeonium, Greenovia, Aichryson and Monanthes with the function types CAM/C3 taxa. It demonstrates the evolutionary process of adaptive radiation, i.e., the (sudden) diversification of an evolutionary line. Some of its species are listed in the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora.
